WIN: Protect rooftop solar in California

Update:

Historic Show of Support for Rooftop Solar.

In the first week of November, wheelbarrows containing over 130,000 signatures on postcards and petitions supporting rooftop solar were presented at the steps of the California Public Utilities Commission building. This overwhelming display of support marks the largest number of public comments ever recorded at the CPUC. Thank you to the 270+ CEC followers who signed the petition. There is still more work left to be done, and more petitions are needed. The Net Metering 2.0 bill is supposed to be voted on December 10.

Sign this petition today and let the CPUC know that you want to protect net metering and rooftop solar.

This year, regulators at the CPUC will be deciding on changes to our utilities’ net metering program, an important state policy that helps Californians go solar and save money. Net metering enables families, schools, businesses, and public agencies to get credit for excess solar power that gets put onto the grid – helping make solar a great investment.

Net metering is currently under attack by utility proposals that threaten to:

  • rewrite the net metering rules,

  • impose new fees on solar customers, and

  • stall rooftop solar growth.

We need your help to protect rooftop solar in California.

Sign this petition today and let the CPUC know that you want to protect net metering and rooftop solar.
