Climate and Culture – Using Art To Inspire Activism & Change

About This Webinar

What role do the arts play in communicating climate science?

Emerging research shows that climate-themed art can create emotional connections and make scientific data more accessible. Visual media can also provide a way to reach new audiences, inspiring greater engagement within the targeted movement.

We sat down and talked with local arts leaders in Santa Barbara about the impact of the recent Earth Day mural, “Nurture Our Mother.” Also, learn about an upcoming Environmental Alliance of regional museums who are joining forces to amplify the climate change message through coordinated exhibits.
