CEC Climate Steward alumni Emiliano Campobello, a professional artist, and Claire Fackler, National Education Liaison for the National Ocean Atmospheric Association (NOAA), are collaborating on a forty-foot-long mural depicting the Central California coastline, to be displayed at Adams Elementary School. Students will be involved in making artwork through the school’s NOAA sponsored Ocean Guardian Ambassadors program, Emiliano says his work is most rewarding “when it engages kids and our community, and teaches in a different way.” Claire agrees: “I want the students to appreciate and enjoy the ocean and our coast, and be involved in projects that give back to the community.”
