About Ron
Ron Skinner, a researcher and climate change educator with UC Santa Barbara, joined the Climate Stewards course to gain knowledge that would help him develop curricula and training programs. Ron was grateful that the course introduced him to “a diverse cohort of people who share concerns about how we are caring for our planet.” Ron’s Stewardship Project utilized resources provided by the course to help strengthen and test his teaching methodology for UCSB undergraduates. He will eventually expand the project to include the various communities that use the resources of Goleta Beach Park and the beaches surrounding UCSB.
