CEC Webinar: How the Momentum of Recent Climate Policy is a Win For You

Join us to learn how you can maximize savings on energy upgrades with the latest consumer tax credits and rebates made available through recent local, state, and federal programs.

Unprecedented federal and California climate legislation passed in 2022 has catalyzed momentum for climate action like never before. Our speakers will give an overview of these tremendous developments and outline why we are hopeful about the future of climate action.

Jamal Lewis from Rewiring America in DC will break down how incentives funded through the federal Inflation Reduction Act will help you save when purchasing an electric vehicle, solar panels, battery storage, heating and cooling systems, plus other energy-efficient and clean technology options. Learn about the point-of-sale rebates that will provide up to $14,000 for electrification projects — up to 100% of the costs for Santa Barbara households that make less than $65,000 and 50% of the costs for households making up to $122,000 (final program details/eligibility TBD).

CEC’s Alexis Rizo and Michael Chiacos will review this year's historic local and regional policy wins, and how they affect tri-county communities. They will also unveil CEC’s new Policy Platform designed to support local governments in reducing fossil fuel usage and carbon emissions, sequestering carbon in natural and working lands through climate-smart agriculture, and preparing for climate impacts through climate adaptation, while making sure the energy transition is equitable and that resources are focused on underserved communities that feel the brunt of pollution and climate impacts.

If you plan to take advantage of valuable energy upgrade incentives starting in 2023, you won’t want to miss this webinar. You’ll have a chance to ask your burning questions, and be inspired by the wave of climate progress on the horizon!
