EV Showcase at the Port of Hueneme Banana Festival

Visit the EV Showcase and educational booth provided by the Electric Vehicle Advocates of Ventura County at the Port of Hueneme Banana Festival. Members of the group, some of whom have years of experience owning and driving electric vehicles, will be on hand to answer your questions and help prepare you for EV ownership. Learn about the latest EVs, rebates and incentives, charging at work or while on the road, and how to install an EV charger at home.

The Port of Hueneme is not only is a major banana transfer point, but it is also one of the top ten ports in the US for automobile imports and exports. Some of the vehicles brought through the port will also be on display and may include EVs from BMW, Volvo, Jaguar, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Tesla, and Subaru.

The Port of Hueneme is a recognized leader in sustainable port operations and has been certified as a “Green Marine Certified since 2018. Take the Port Tour to observe the use of electric cranes, forklifts, and yard tractors–and how shore power is provided to cargo ships so they can shut down their engines while in port.
