Home Hardening and Defensible Space Workshop


The Santa Barbara County Fire Safe Council is hosting a free Home Hardening and Defensible Space Workshop that is being taught on both Friday and Saturday, March 24th and 25th 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Friday is in person only and Saturday has an in-person or virtual option. In-person attendees get free lunch and free raffle tickets.

On Saturday from 2:00 - 5:30 p.m., there is a free extended Public Exposition where people can explore upfront different home hardening and defensible space options with live demos, interactive exhibits, and sign-ups for free home evaluations. A retired CalFire chief will present on the future of wildfire insurance.
