Climate Fridays Santa Barbara

  • CEC's Environmental Hub 1219 State Street Santa Barbara, CA, 93101 United States (map)

Join CEC, the Society of Fearless Grandmothers Santa Barbara, and the Santa Barbara Sierra Club to learn about local land conservation initiatives. Erica Cardenas, Director of Impact and Advocacy at Santa Barbara Botanic Garden, will moderate a panel featuring The Land Trust for Santa Barbara County's Executive Director Meredith Hendricks, Ventura Land Trust's Executive Director Melissa Baffa, and Coastal Ranches Conservancy's Executive Director Dr. Candice Meneghin. Panelists will explore the role of land-based conservation non-profits as collaborators in the regional biodiversity vision and policy framework. They will also share insights about their organizations, offer hopeful perspectives, and highlight ways the community can engage with and support these important conservation efforts.

This event is a part of Climate Fridays Santa Barbara — monthly gatherings for activists, students, partners, and community members to learn about regional climate change issues, take collective action, and collaborate to protect our planet.

Climate Fridays Santa Barbara are part of the Community Environmental Council's A Year of Active Hope, a series of free events hosted at our Environmental Hub to unite the community and create space for courage, connection, and change.
