Climate Fridays Santa Barbara

  • CEC's Environmental Hub 1219 State Street Santa Barbara, CA, 93101 United States (map)

Join CEC, the Society of Fearless Grandmothers Santa Barbara, and the Santa Barbara Sierra Club on the first Friday of each month to gather with fellow climate activists, students, allies, community partners, and friends. At May’s gathering, we’ll explore ways to raise our voices for a fossil-fuel-free Santa Barbara County. We’ll hear from Michael Chiacos, CEC Senior Policy Advisor, on the status and next steps for local oil and gas phase-out efforts. Juan Lares, Project Director at the Central Coast Climate Justice Network, will share updates and calls to action around the Santa Barbara solar ordinance.

This event is part of the Community Environmental Council's A Year of Active Hope, a series of free events hosted at our Environmental Hub to unite the community and create space for courage, connection, and change.
