Santa Barbara Sun Day Celebration

Join us for a local celebration of clean energy progress as part of the national Sun Day of action, led by Third Act. This free, festival-style event will feature speakers, kids’ activities, community booths, and resources to help electrify your home or business. Come take part in building a sun-powered future for Santa Barbara County and beyond! Hosted by CEC, Sierra Club Santa Barbara/Ventura, the Society of Fearless Grandmothers, Clean Coalition, the City of Santa Barbara, the City of Santa Barbara’s Sustainability & Resilience Department, and the Santa Barbara Public Library.

The afternoon will begin with opening remarks from Professor Leah Stokes (UC Santa Barbara), followed by a keynote address from Santa Barbara County Supervisor Laura Capps. The event will also include several panel discussions, featuring Tim Hade (Scale Microgrids), Das Williams (3CE), Kristen Sneddon (Santa Barbara City Council), Lori La Riva (3C-REN), John Greisser (City of Santa Barbara), Chris Cook (3CE), Tim Gorter (Architect), Dennis Allen (Builder),  and Matto Mildenberger (Green Homeowner).
