Giorgos Kallis is an ecological economist and political ecologist working on environmental justice and limits to growth. Prof. Kallis is known globally for his writing on degrowth, including the books, “The Case for Degrowth”, “Limits,” and “Degrowth.” He is an ICREA Research Professor at the ICTA Institute of Environmental Science and Technology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and was previously a Marie Curie International Fellow at the Energy and Resources group at UC Berkeley. At this event, Prof. Kallis will give a short presentation of his accessible book, “The Case for Degrowth,” followed by discussion and Q&A with interested community members.
