Climate action, close to home.

Your year-end gift gets the Central Coast ready for what's next.

Your gift will be matched, dollar for dollar.

The people who know CEC best, our Board of Directors and President's Council, are matching the first $70,000 in gifts. Give before the match runs out.

This moment is different.

Our weather now swings between fire seasons and flood seasons, and a strong El Niño this winter could bring the next swing. Federal protections we spent 50 years building have been taken apart, and disaster recovery is falling to local communities.

But there's new momentum, and people here aren't waiting for someone else to act. Since 1970, CEC has shown that local action works.

With your support, we will:

  • Get ready for El Niño. We're identifying 30 schools, churches, and community centers across six counties to become resilience hubs: trusted spaces with backup power, clean air, and information when storms hit.

  • Protect the ban on new oil wells. You helped win it. We won't let it slip away.

  • Help families save money and stay safe at home. We connect residents to rebates for solar, battery backup, and efficient heating and cooling.

  • Bring people together. More than 8,000 people a year come to our downtown Hub to turn worry into action.

Big headlines. Local answers.
