Join the Santa Barbara Permaculture Network for a special evening with naturalist, illustrator, and award-winning author Obi Kaufmann, sharing his timely book The State of Fire, Why California Burns. From the creator of The California Field Atlas, Obi Kaufmann shares a book of stewardship, resilience, and hope. Following his talk, Kaufmann will be joined by a panel of local community leaders: Santa Barbara County back country author, photographer, and journalist Ray Ford, Spirit Pine natural builder Betty Seaman, Nature’s Engineers founder and SLO Beaver Brigade member Cooper Lienhart, and CEC's Director of Climate Programs Em Johnson. CEC is a co-sponsor of this event.
