Youth Climate Workshops

”CEC’s Youth Climate Workshops provide the next generation of climate leaders with the tools they need to take bold climate action, and a place to join forces.”

About the Workshop

Held a few times per year at CEC’s Environmental Hub in downtown Santa Barbara, Youth Climate Workshops offer sixth through twelfth graders an opportunity to learn from climate experts, meet environmental leaders in our community, and connect with other youth who care about climate change. These free hands-on workshops cover a variety of topics, including:

  • Talking about the climate crisis

  • Handling eco-anxiety

  • Advocating for causes you care about

  • Speaking at city and county government hearings

  • Designing self-published informational materials

  • Consuming sustainably

Each workshop has a unique focus and offers a chance to meet and mingle with local climate leaders, CEC Climate Steward alumni, and elected officials. Click the register button below to see details on the next workshop.
